Creative Services Co-op

During my six-month co-op at Boston Beer, I supported the Samuel Adams® and Angry Orchard® brands by managing sales-rep requests for customized promotional materials from concept through production. I oversaw both design and execution: determining in-house versus vendor printing, setting timelines to meet in-hand dates, ensuring strict brand-guideline compliance, securing approvals, and coordinating final printing and shipping. Through Angry Orchard®’s special-size and text-heavy requests, I expanded my Photoshop skill set and gained experience designing within complex constraints, while Samuel Adams® projects strengthened my ability to navigate multi-level approval processes. In addition to day-to-day production work, I designed an internal logo for the Autonomous Maintenance Team, incorporating client requirements such as references to Paul McCartney and Wings, depalletizer elements, and the “DePaul McCartney and Cans” name. I developed multiple logo iterations, ultimately discovering a can-tab concept within the “A” of “Cans,” and collaborated with stakeholders to refine and finalize the selected direction.

Everyday Requests

A few of the most common requests included banners for upcoming events, menu cards for current deals, and menu updates or redesigns to align with Boston Beer brand guidelines while meeting individual bar requests.
